We sell and we hire, so we've no reason to steer you either way. Here's how each one works and where the line usually falls.
Buying
Checked used 20ft units from $2,200, new single-trip from $3,300. You get one delivered figure, photos of your exact unit on request before delivery, and a steel box that still has real resale value years from now.
Hiring
20ft hire from $27 a week on flexible terms — renovations, moving house, site storage. Hire units are cargo-worthy, wind and watertight. If you decide to keep it, ask about buying it out.
Where the line usually falls
Need it for less than a year? Hiring tends to come out ahead. Two years or more? Buying does, all the more because a sensibly bought used container sells again for most of its price. Somewhere in the middle, ring us and we'll work through both figures with you — even if the answer is the cheaper one for you.
